Copyright 1989: A five month pen, ink and scalpel blade drawing working by naked eye only, of course. Although the use of' 'dots' predominates, we can see the additional use of the 'tip' of a scalpel blade to 'squash down' some 'dots' into creating a further level of 'detail' and 'tonal range' ('depth')..........the start of the additional use of a scalpel blade's 'tip'.

Measurements of original and print: 16.7 cm. x 26 cm.

* This print is not for sale and only displayed for the enjoyment of the naturally, highly intelligent and, musically, highly discerning Tull devotees. After all, as Richard Kennedy ocacasionally jokes - ' I could have been completely 'normal' without Tull's music'.........!

Description of composition: Too complicated to explain how every part of this extraordinarily unique picture relates, specifically, to Tull's history, music and imagery. Devotees will recognise everything!

Even lesser fans of Tull will spot the 'Aqualung' cover, 'profoundly burnt' front page from the 'Thick as a Brick' album cover, Scottish salmon lough, English woodland and metaphorical birthday 'cake' and 'hippy' smoke. Rabbits, an owl and a salmon are only a few of the ingredients.......An exhaustive picture completed in 1989 to celebrate Jethro Tull's, then, '21st. Birthday' since the band's formation in 1968.
