Description
of composition:
Although not as complicated
as the accompanying two Jethro Tull compositions, there is much to study
in the picture and, of course, all relates specifically to the group's
wondrous history, music and imagery. Is that Mr.Anderson, circa 1984,
holding up a 1969 'Stand Up' era poster, against a background of The Black
Cuillins on the Isle of Skye, 'surrounded' by a brick 'wall' inscribed
with the names of past and present (1988) band members and Tull albums to
date? As befits his legendary Tull Status, Mr.Barre, again here, as in the
'Lifebelt' and '21st' pictures, is also illustrated circa 1984. A Tull
stone 'Cluster of Angels' with flute and banner crown all these antics.
An exhaustive
picture completed in 1988 to celebrate Jethro Tull's, then, '20th
Anniversary 1968 - 1988' since the group's formation in 1968. |
