THE TECHNIQUE – PENCIL AND SCALPEL DRAWINGS.
Working exhaustively by naked
eye only, Richard Kennedy, through the use of a variety of pencil 'hardnesses'
and the 'tip' of a scalpel blade, finally achieves a maximum tonal range
('depth') and 'detail'. Some might say, even close to a 'photographic
likeness' …..
For the Royal Navy warship range of prints ….and the 'Pure Sea' prints ….
VERY
LATEST TECHNOLOGY ACID-FREE, CONSERVATION QUALITY PRINTS.
We achieve the highest
possible quality standards for these superb signed prints by combining the
traditional printer`s craft with the very latest technology.
'Capturing' and 'holding' at
print the maximum tonal range ('depth') and 'detail' is our overwhelming
concern and, naturally, we have gone to the greatest possible lengths –
and beyond …! – to see that this is achieved.
The prints are true fine art
reproductions printed on 240 gsm., neutral ph, acid-free
conservation paper using waterless inks – a combination that
minimises the fading of the inks and degredation of the paper etc. and
maximises the conservation qualities of the prints overall.
'STOCHASTIC
SCREENING'
These prints are all produced
using the very latest 'stochastic screening' process which uses random
'dots' instead of the usual regular, linear 'dot' patterns of conventional
printing. As a result, the prints are, 'clearer' and
'sharper', yet display great subtlety of tone
('depth'). Truly works
of art in their own right.
After the closest inspection,
each print will be individually signed by the Artist, Richard Kennedy in
pencil.
** again,
please understand that these reproductions are exactly the same size as
the
original pencil and scalpel blade
drawings.
