Copyright 1989: A
three month 'dots' of ink pen and ink drawing working by naked eye only,
of course.
Measurements of original and print: 7.4
cm. x 16.5 cm.
Price of Artist's signed and mounted print: £22.50p.
inclusive surprisingly.
Description of composition: Having
originated around the 'London underground' circuit of the late 1960s.and,
particularly, as house band of the legendary 'U.F.O.' Club, Notting Hill,
they eventually, one understands went on to reach an even wider
audience.......!
The Artist's thinks of Mr. Gilmour here at the
beginning of 'Echoes' - ideal length of music, during a bath, in his
opinion! 'Think Pink'!'
Nothing 'deeply profound' in the picture which,
incidentally, is based on a rare poster bought while at boarding school in
the early 1970s.. 'Turn on, tune in ...........drop out'!
A good example of style to show, at this size and
scale, that a particular face is able to be realistically and properly
portrayed - 'Gilmour looks like Gilmour - at this size.'
-'Thank goodness for the Floyd - I could have
been completely 'normal' without them.....!' as Richard Kennedy would say!
