Description of composition.
The Artist's Airedale Terrier dog, Tess, approaching a wooden 'kissing gate' in the heart of ancient Wytherstone Wood up on Powerstock Common, West Dorset, England......Dorset solitude.

In the clearing, a cock pheasant is surprised above the gate while a wren carries on, as usual, well protected by the abundant undergrowth beside Tess in this remote, quiet spot a hundred yards or so before coming upon an isolated section of the now-disused and 'lifted' former Bridport branch railway.
For Richard Kennedy, a wonderful, even 'spiritual' area to be in....for so many personal reasons.
