Description of composition:
The Artist's Airedale Terrier dog, Tess,
sitting in front of a
clump of trees along a path in the middle of a wood
in Craigavad, near Holywood, North Down, Ireland - the Artist's birthplace
and home for many, many years.
Afternoon sunlight and
shadows exude from all parts of
this ancient wood.
- the start of the
additional use of the tip of a scalpel blade
to achieve an higher level of
'detail' and 'tonal range
('depth')'........
'Could be
anywhere....' ? 'Really magical......tranquility itself...'
